Who the hell do you think you are?
I
am a girl in her early 30s* with Northern Irish blood, raised and
living in Kent, England. I have an actual job which I don’t like to talk
about, but in summary I am and have been both a journalist and senior
PR/communications executive. This means I can make you sound incredible
and then judge you for it in print.

This is a personal/lifestyle blog, and it is where I come to rant and
share thoughts, advice and irreverent humour. There is no reason for it
for any of this.
Why is this called The Demon Gin?
Because all the other names I thought of were taken. And anyone who has seen me sitting on the stairs at a party will know why.
Are you really a performer? Really?
Not professionally, but I was once paid to act. As in for one gig. It was in pennies.
I am a member of The Canterbury Players am dram group and also work with
several other drama groups and directors, which means I appear on stage
in Kent several times a year. To prove it, here's a picture of doing
all the acting.

I may also be half of a two-woman macabre cabaret/vaudeville act in 2014. But no guarantees yet.
Are you really a writer? Really?
Well if you define writ no, no I’m not. I have written for a living in
the past as a journalist, but I can’t really justify calling myself a
writer without wanting to punch myself. But I have this here lifestyle
blog, and continue to write creatively in my spare time. I hope to
launch a separate blog of my creative writing soon, but I probably
won't.

Are you available for hire?
Assuming it’s not for anything untoward, I am happy to accept writing
commissions, and can provide freelance PR and marketing services,
including website and social media content management. I am also
available to hire as a performer, but I am bound by office hours and my
